Dr. Wiles

Dr. Michael R. Wiles, DC, MEd, MS, FCCS (C), FICC
Dean, College of Chiropractic Medicine
Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Wiles earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1976.  He also has a Master of Education from Brock University and a Master of Science (Medical Education Leadership) from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Wiles has spent his career in chiropractic practice and education, and has served as Dean of Chiropractic, as well as Provost and Interim President, at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and Dean of Clinical Affairs at Texas Chiropractic College prior to his current position as the founding Dean of the College of Chiropractic Medicine at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Dr. Benavides

Dr. Victor Benavides, DC, MBA
Associate Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Benavides received his DC degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 1992 and went on to earn a degree in nursing (2010) as well as an MBA in healthcare management (2012). Since 1998 he has held numerous positions in chiropractic clinical education at Texas Chiropractic College, including Director of the Campus Health Center, Interim Dean of Clinics, Director of Clinical Experiences, and Director of Clinical Education. Dr. Benavides has a unique set of qualifications and experience integrating chiropractic clinical education, nursing, healthcare management and chiropractic practice.

Dr. John Deluca, DC, MD
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis

Dr. DeLuca completed his pre-medical degree at the Penn State University, and went on to earn his DC (Life University, 1990), MS in Human Nutrition (University of Bridgeport, 1999) and MD (St. George’s University, 2005).  He is board certified in Internal Medicine, and earned a diplomate from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.  His professional interests include integrative medicine and wellness, functional medicine, hyperbaric medicine, and sports medicine.

Dr. Norbert Dombrowsky, DC, DACBR
Associate Professor, Diagnostic Imaging

Dr. Dombrowsky received his DC in 1976 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and subsequently completed a residency program in Diagnostic Imaging.  From 1985 to 1992 he served on the radiology staff at CMCC and he earned his Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology in 1992. From 1992 to 2000 he supervised the radiology residency program at Parker College of Chiropractic (now Parker University) and taught radiology in the DC program as an Associate Professor.  Since 2000 he has maintained a private radiology practice in Florida, as well as supervising radiology residents at CMCC.

Dr. Jennifer Illes, DC, CMAG, MS
Assistant Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Illes completed her pre-chiropractic BS degree at Brock University, in Ontario, Canada. She earned her DC degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2004, being honored as the class salutatorian and the recipient of the Clinical Award of Excellence. Dr. Illes is also a graduate of McMaster University’s Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and she holds a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS).  She has taught chiropractic medicine at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY, and NUHS where she also held the position of Associate Dean at their Florida campus. Her chiropractic practice experience has focused on the care of amateur and professional athletes and teams.

Dr. Krauss

Dr. Ralph Kruse, DC, DABCO
Attending Clinician, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Kruse completed his pre-medical degree at the State University of New York (Stony Brook) and went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from National College of Chiropractic (now National University of Health Sciences) in 1990.  He subsequently earned diplomate status with the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics and the American Board of Chiropractic Consultants.  His professional interests are in the area of flexion-distraction decompression manipulation for chronic and post-surgical back pain.  Dr. Kruse practiced in Chicago from 1991-2017.

Dr. Albert J. Luce, DC
Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Luce earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 1987. He is a licensed chiropractor in the State of Florida with a certification in acupuncture.  Previous to his position at Keiser University Dr. Luce was Dean of Clinics at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Luce has studied evidence-based medicine (EBM) at the University of Iowa and oversaw the administration of a National Institute of Health grant to incorporate EBM into the curriculum at Palmer College. Dr. Luce has also been recognized for his expertise in Medicare compliance and EBM for chiropractic continuing education programs.

Dr. Prakash

Dr. Jaya Prakash, MBBS, MD, MPH
Professor, Microbiology and Immunology

Dr. Prakash received her MBBS (equivalent to MD in the USA) from the University of Poona (India) in 1982, following which she did postgraduate research in microbiology and earned her MD (equivalent to PhD in the USA) in 1986. She went on to earn specialty status in microbiology from both the American Academy of Microbiology (1995) and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (2005). Dr. Prakash also earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from Benedictine University (2009) and she is a Certified Health Coach (Villanova University, Center for Obesity Prevention and Control, 2016). She has considerable experience teaching microbiology and immunology at several medical schools as well as almost 20 years teaching chiropractic students at National University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Sikora

Dr. Janet Sikora Amendola, DC, MSHAPI, DIBCN
Assistant Professor, Anatomy and Neuroscience

Dr. Sikora is a graduate of The University of Florida (BS in Athletic Training) and New York Chiropractic College (DC, 1995). She is a licensed chiropractic physician in Florida, South Carolina & New York. She also earned a Master of Science in Human Anatomy & Physiology Instruction from NYCC (2013) as well as her Diplomate in neurology from The International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (2006) and Electrodiagnosis Certification from NYCC (2005.) In addition to teaching and practicing as a chiropractic neurologist for 20 years, Dr. Sikora is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Chiropractic Association, has served as an examiner for National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

Dr. Eugene Spilker, DC
Assistant Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. Spilker earned his DC degree from Logan University in 2000. He has spent his career in chiropractic practice and education, and is currently completing a Doctor of Health Professions Education degree.  Previous to coming to Keiser University, Dr. Spilker was an attending clinician at Logan University’s Student Health Center, and Director of the Student Health Center from 2014-2017. His research interests are in the areas of evidence-based care and patient-centered care.

Dr. White

Dr. Bret White, DC, DABCO
Assistant Professor, Chiropractic Medicine

Dr. White earned his DC degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1995. He continued his education and earned board certification in sports medicine (1997, American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians) and orthopedics (2001, American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists). He previously taught chiropractic therapeutics at New York Chiropractic College, and for four years he was a clinical instructor at Tufts University (Public Health and Family Medicine Department), teaching third and fourth year medical students about evidence-based chiropractic medicine. Dr. White continues to be the team physician for the National Volleyball League and American Top Team Mixed Martial Arts Academy.
